The full-time faculty of IIFA is a body of academics and industry professionals like Prince Rampal (Director of many short films and serials), with regular guest lectures by leading Indian & International filmmakers, actors & technicians. IIFA has a progressive series of exercises and projects that are practical and experiential. It is carefully designed to equip students with a mature level of physical, mental and emotional skills to meet the demands of professional engagements with film, television and theatre.

The curriculum at IIFA is a unique hybrid of theoretical and practical aspects combining art with business principles for all specializations. As part of the 3-month filmmaking courses, each student undergoes 2-month of 'Basics of Filmmaking' education in which each student learns the basics of all aspects of filmmaking. Students also study several co-curricular faculties like Film Appreciation, International Art, Literature & Culture, Production Design & Music.
