My Journey:
I am a Drama Facilitator and teach Drama to children in schools. I had a comprehensive experience of 13 years in the corporate sector before i followed my passion i.e acting. I love working with children and hence i teach Drama. I have been involved in acting from my academic days. As students we all had the option of choosing various avocations in school or college and i felt most energized when i acted or performed in front of a group of people . • Even though i had a long tenure with the corporate sector, i kept my passion for drama constantly ignited by either acting, directing or lending my voice in some memorable plays. I finally left the corporate sector in 2010 and started teaching Drama and acting in plays. I was fortunate to face the camera way back in 1995 when the film Bombay Boys was being shot. It was a learning experience to rub shoulders with actors like Roshan Seth and Rahul Bose. I've worked with special needs children on 'Andher Nagri Chaupat Raja' and recently acted in a play called 'Vidambana'.
My Talent :
I speak Hindi and English fluently.I have been appreciated for my voice modulation, enunciation, pronunciation and diction. I have been liked for my ability to use space on stage and for my bodily expression. I can adapt both with the environment and my co-actor/s with ease and it shows in the performance. I feel i am versatile as an actor and flexible enough to perform complicated, intense and comic roles. I admire actors who have the ability to become the character and shed their 'self'. I know it sounds cliched but although all actors strive to do this , not many achieve(in terms of performance) what actors like Amitabh and Aamir Khan can do consistently. It is my dream to work with Aamir Khan one day. I liked performances of Saif in Omkara, Abhishek in Yuva, Priyanka in Fashion, Hrithik in Lakshya, Ranbir in Rocket Singh...i feel they were well exploited in these films. In the foreign film space i admire actors like Sidney Poitier, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Woody Allen, Robin Williams.
